Heartland Community College hosts free FAFSA Workshop

[December 03, 2024]    NORMAL, IL, Dec, 2, 2024 – Heartland Community College will host a workshop to assist local high school seniors and prospective college students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-26 academic year.

The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the FAFSA form. Heartland financial aid representatives will lead the session, help students and parents fill out the form, and answer questions about financial aid options.

The workshop takes place Tuesday, December 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Heartland Community College, 1500 W. Raab Road, Normal. The workshop will be held in a computer lab in the Instructional Commons North building.

There is no cost to attend but pre-registration is required. Attendees can register online at heartland.edu or call the Financial Aid office at 309-268-8023.

Participants should bring:
- Driver’s license or state ID
- 2023 Federal Income Tax Forms and W-2s
- Amount of any untaxed income received in 2023
- Parents’ 2023 Federal Income Tax Forms and W-2s, unless

--You served active duty in US Armed Forces

This session has a limited availability of seats, so prospective attendees are urged to register early.
