Heartland students named to NJCAA
All-Academic Team, Women’s XC tops their sport for GPA

The
NJCAA has announced the 2023-24 All-Academic Teams, recognizing
student-athletes across the country for their dedication in the
classroom. Fifty-seven Heartland Community College student-athletes
have been honored for achieving a high GPA.
Heartland’s Women’s Cross Country Team was the NJCAA
Academic Team of the Year for Cross Country. In addition to Women’s
Cross Country, the Men’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Soccer,
Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball squads were also named as NJCAA
Academic Teams, with cumulative team GPAs over 3.0.
Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors
by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2023-24
academic year.

Team honors after achieving a 4.0 GPA. 4,013 student-athletes were
named to the NJCAA All-Academic Second Team while 4,808
student-athletes received third-team recognition.
