On Wednesday evening, Senator
Sally Turner hosted a fundraising event at Spirited
Republic in Lincoln. She was joined by
Representative Bill Hauter and other public figures.
During the course of the evening she spoke about the
importance of keeping Logan Correctional Center in
Logan County.
This evening there will be a rally on the Logan
County Courthouse lawn in Lincoln, followed by a
march from the courthouse to Lincoln Junior High
School where the Commission on Government
Forecasting and Accountability will host a public
hearing regarding the proposed closure and
relocation of the women’s prison to norther
Illinois.
The public is encouraged to attend.
