Libby Campbell, certified occupational therapy
assistant, is the Lincoln Memorial Hospital October
Colleague of the Month.
Campbell, who is part of the inpatient therapy team,
was praised by multiple colleagues for her
positivity, creativity and delivery of quality care
to swing bed patients. She helped develop
occupational therapy group options for patients who
craved social interaction and a change of pace. The
group therapy gave patients an opportunity to leave
their room and engage in different activities each
week like planting plants or participating in
activities patterned after Olympic games.
“Patients have told me firsthand how much they enjoy
the group therapy sessions,” wrote one nominator.
“Swing bed patients are sometimes here for weeks,
and social interaction can be lacking. One patient
told me the group sessions made her feel ten years
younger!”
Campbell has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital
since 2021.
