Police & Logan County Sheriff's Office; 24 arrests made

On Thursday, November 21st, 2024, Officers and Deputies of
the Lincoln Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office,
Central Illinois Enforcement Group and United States Marshall’s
Service Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force conducted an arrest warrant
detail in Lincoln and Logan County. These warrants were issued for
defendants following narcotics and weapons investigations conducted
by Agents assigned to the Central Illinois Enforcement Group from
the Lincoln Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Overall, 24 arrests were made, resulting in a total of 61 criminal
charges. 11 of those were class X felonies, 23 were class 1
felonies, 23 were class 2 felonies, 2 were class 3 felonies and 1
was a class 4 felony.
Several additional, unrelated, warrant arrests were made during the
operation.
3 Defendants were charged with federal offenses
3 adults were charged with delivery of methamphetamine
1 adult was charged with unlawful sale of a firearm
21 Defendants were charged with state offenses
12 adults were charged with delivery of cocaine
9 adults were charged with delivery of methamphetamine
3 adults were charged with delivery of heroin or fentanyl
1 adult was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a
felon
It should be noted that several investigations revealed the
sales of multiple types of drugs by the same defendants, therefore
the numbers reflected above do not coincide with the actual number
of court cases filed.

During these investigations the following items were seized:
Methamphetamine: 1,892.8 grams
Cocaine: 773.5 grams
Heroin/Fentanyl: 36.1 grams
Firearms: 42
Vehicles: 5
Total Weight of Illegal Drugs Combined: 2,702.4 grams (5.95 pounds)
Total Street Value of Seized Narcotics: $156,672

drug enforcement task force comprised of the Illinois State Police,
Jacksonville Police Department, Springfield Police Department,
Lincoln Police Department, Pana Police Department, Christian County
Sheriff’s Office, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Morgan County
Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Sangamon County
Sheriff’s Office.*
These cases will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s
Office – Central District of Illinois and the Logan County State’s
Attorney’s Office.
