Nominating petitions available for Heartland 2025 Board of Trustees election

Nominating petitions are now available for those seeking a seat on the Heartland Community College Board of Trustees.

Individuals interested in seeking a position on the District 540 Board of Trustees in the April 1, 2025 election may pick up required nominating petitions at the Heartland Community College executive office, which is located in the Community Commons Building, Suite 2000 at 1500 W. Raab Road, Normal. Requests for petitions can also be directed to the office by phone at 309-268-8100.

Petitions must be returned to the executive office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. November 12-15, 2024, or 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2024.

There are three six-year term positions open on the Heartland Board of Trustees commencing no later than April 22, 2025.

To be eligible, candidates are required to complete the nominating petitions by collecting signatures from 50 registered voters from within the Heartland Community College district. Candidates must be 18 years old, a citizen of the United States and reside within the State of Illinois and District 540 for at least one year as of the election.
