On
Saturday, October 26, the Mt. Pulaski Community Association hosted
its annual Trunk or Treat event around the historical courthouse
square. Again……Mt. Pulaski did not disappoint!! This year's trunk or
treat was filled with proudly dressed-up kids and several adults who
continued the theme with their children. Many businesses lined the
blocked-off streets around the square and provided games, toys and
treats, free hot dogs, music, and all this with an almost perfect
fall weather evening!
Spencer and Janell Thomas and their two kids, Luke (4
yrs) dressed as a ear of corn and Levi (two years) as a Case IH
combine came from Kenny to join in the well-organized, fun-filled
evening.

The streets were filled with princesses, lots of
dinosaurs, witches, pumpkins, superheroes, a few ghouls and devils,
and unique costumes such as a candy vending machine and a popcorn
bowl.
Hats off to the organizers of this event, parents who spent the time
dressing up their kids and/or themselves, and the businesses that
understand the importance of catering to the young and old in small
communities.
