Lincoln Community Theatre
Announces Auditions for the Musical Guys and Dolls
[April 01, 2025]
Lincoln Community Theatre is
pleased to invite all adults and teens who are interested to
audition for LCT’s 2025 production of Guys and Dolls. No experience
is necessary! Auditions for this classic musical will be held on
April 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and April 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at
St. John United Church of Christ, 204 7th Street, in Lincoln.
Callbacks will be April 5 at 1 p.m. as needed.
Guys and Dolls will be directed by Derry Dalby and presented July
24-27 at the Lincoln Community High School auditorium. Anyone
exiting ninth grade (beginning 10th grade in fall of 2025) and older
is welcome to audition for this popular musical. Rehearsals will
begin on May 28. The musical “Guys and Dolls is a classic oddball
romantic comedy! Gambler, Nathan Detroit, tries to find the cash to
set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe
down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer,
Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years.
Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and
Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, as a
result. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to
the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York
City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong” (from
the LCT website).
