Annual Breakfast with the Easter
Bunny benefits Hartsburg Founder’s Day activities
[April 08, 2025]

Saturday, April 5, the
Hartsburg Founder’s Day Committee hosted breakfast with the Easter
Bunny at the Hartsburg American Legion Building.

Several members of the
Founder’s Day Committee prepared and served a delicious breakfast of
pancakes and sausages plus coffee, water or orange juice.

As usual, there were a
variety of baked goods available for sale such as cookies, cupcakes
and Chex mix. A cake was up for bidding and went for $40.

Hartem English teacher
and school librarian Nicole Folkman had a table filled with free
books. Folkman has taken donated books to various events around the
area and said she recently gave away her 10,000th book.

At 9 a.m., the Easter
Bunny came hopping in. Children were able to sit with him and get a
treat bag with goodies. Some children were eager to visit with the
Easter Bunny, while a few were not quite sure what to think and
looked at him from a distance.
Throughout the morning, people came in out of the cold, dreary
weather to enjoy a delicious breakfast, see the Easter bunny and
purchase baked goods.
