Heartland Community College Lincoln hosts free FAFSA Workshop

[April 21, 2025]  LINCOLN, IL, April 21, 2025 – Heartland Community College Lincoln will host a workshop to assist local high school seniors and prospective college students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-26 academic year.

The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the FAFSA form. Heartland financial aid and Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) representatives will lead the session, help students and parents at the session to fill out the form, and answer questions about financial aid options.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Heartland Community College Lincoln, 2201 Woodlawn Road. We recommend participants arrive no later than 6:15 p.m. There is no cost to attend.

Participants should bring:

Driver’s license or state ID and Social Security Number

2023 Federal Income Tax Forms and W-2s

Amount of any untaxed income received in 2023

A FSA ID to sign in electronically

If you are a dependent, your parents will need to create their own FSA ID and complete the required information
