Lincoln Park District Aquatic Center Hosts a Luau-Themed Family Fun Day

[August 09, 2025]  The return of hot weather made Lincoln Park District Aquatic Center’s final Family Fun Day of the summer a welcome relief. The LPD Aquatic Center hosted a Hawaiian Luau-themed fun day on Friday August 8 with decorations, photo opportunities, and games with lifeguards.

Admission for the Luau Family Fun Day was an item for the Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry, which gave families a lower cost admission, as well as the opportunity to help others in the community. Regular pool admission and pool passes are also accepted on Family Fun Days.

All three summer Family Fun Days were planned by lifeguard and event coordinator Mattea McFadden. Next summer’s Fun Day themes will be chosen by the lifeguards and announced this fall.
