Lincoln, IL – Heartland Community College Lincoln
will host Express Enrollment on Monday, December 15 for those
interested in enrolling in their welding program beginning January
12.
Staff will be available at the 2201 Woodlawn Road, Lincoln, location
from 10am to noon and 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to help students
complete Heartland Community College admission and funding
applications as well as register for the classes, all in one visit.
Appointments are encouraged to reserve your enrollment time and can
be arranged online by visiting
visit.heartland.edu or
calling (217) 735-1731. Although appointments are encouraged, they
are not required.
Lincoln’s Spring 2026 welding classes begins with an eight-week
100-level intro course. Students are able to advance to a 200-level
course after the completion of the first. Students completing the
two-course sequence will earn the Gas Metal Arc Welding Basics
microcertificate and will be on the pathway to completing the larger
16-hour Welding Skills Certificate.

The Welding Skills Certificate is
stackable into a larger Industrial Technology Applied Associate
of Science should a student decide to pursue a degree.
