West Lincoln Broadwell girls finish 3rd in State

[December 12, 2025] The West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines defeated Carrollton St. John 32-25 on Thursday night to finish in third place at the 7th Grade Class 1A State Tournament hosted by Assumption Central Middle School.

The Lady Wolverines took an 11-6 lead in the first quarter. By halftime the lead was 21-9. The lead was trimmed to 25-17 by the end of the third quarter before the ladies put the game away in the fourth 32-25.

Piper Craig and Rowynn Fink each scored 10 points to lead the Lady Wolverines in scoring.

Piper Craig also won the IESA Sportsmanship Award for WLB.

The Lady Wolverines finished the season with a 23-5 record.
