Titans too much for Lady Railers in 54-45 win

[December 17, 2025]  The Lady Railers were able to keep up with Chatham Glenwood really well in the first half on Tuesday night, but a strong second half by the Titans allowed them to defeat Lincoln 54-45.

Playing in Chatham, the Lady Railers were on top 13-9 at the end of the first quarter. Once Lincoln got on the board with a free throw by Lily Holmes, the Lady Railers were able to get five points apiece from Mia Clark and Grace Bivin and a bucket from Grace Schneider that put them in the lead. The Titans points in the first quarter were courtesy of three 3s.

Junior Alexis Neumann poured in 11 points for Glenwood in the second quarter and she guided her team to a 24-21 halftime lead. Paisley Holmes had the only field goal for Lincoln in the second quarter. Bivin and Schneider scored the rest of Lincoln’s points at the free throw line.

The Titans scored seven unanswered points to start the third quarter and run the lead to ten points. Paisley Holmes finally lit up the scoreboard for Lincoln with a basket at the 4:20 mark. The Titans continued to keep Lincoln in a double-digit deficit as the Lady Railers hit a skid and only made seven points in the quarter. After Ava Bobb’s two before the quarter ended, Glenwood was on top 40-28.

The Lady Railers continued to put up a fight in the fourth quarter and with 2:20 left they were able to cut the Titans lead to seven points. It was Lily Holmes with the steal and layup to make the score 47-40. Mesa McCloud’s first three of the game for Lincoln made the score 50-43 but time was running out for the Lady Railers. With thirty seconds left the Titans were in control with a 54-43 lead. After Grace Schneider scored the last basket of the game, the final was set at 54-45.
