The LMH Market Seeks Vendors, Volunteers and Market Hosts for Tenth Season

 

[February 19, 2025]  LINCOLN – The Lincoln Memorial Hospital Market has opened vendor, volunteer and Market Host applications for its tenth season, which opens Saturday, May 17, at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln, and runs through Sept. 20.

The Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays inside the Expo Building. Sponsored by the Lincoln Memorial Foundation, the indoor event is a “producer-only” farmers market, featuring items that are homegrown or vendor-created from locally owned operations.

Vendors are encouraged to apply promptly to secure their spot and qualify for exclusive early bird discounts, available for a limited time. Applications can be submitted online through Marketspread.

Vendors at The Market offer fruits, vegetables, eggs, poultry, baked goods, honey and more. Shoppers enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which helps families in need supplement their grocery budgets, may use a Link card to purchase food at the farmers market. The market offers SNAP matching for Link card holders, and the match is tripled every third Saturday.

The Market also seeks volunteers for this upcoming season. Volunteers greet visitors, answer questions, support the Power of Produce (POP) Club and other activities, assist vendors, collect data and help manage setup and cleanup.

“Our volunteers create a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors, which keeps folks coming back each Saturday,” said Jamie Jones, coordinator for The Market. “They are a big part of the market’s success.”

Volunteers are asked to sign up for two shifts a month. Shifts run from 7 to 10 a.m. and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt to wear during their shifts and a free meal during each shift worked. Additionally, The Market seeks nonprofit organizations interested in becoming Market Hosts. Market Hosts assist with operations and volunteer their time to ensure a welcoming experience for visitors.
