Lady Railers on a winning streak: take down Mount Zion 66-39

The Lady Railers have now won three games in a row and their
latest victory came on Tuesday night at Mount Zion.
Lincoln dominated the Braves, winning 66-39 over their former Apollo
Conference rivals.
Lincoln found a rhythm early and got everyone involved in the
scoring in the first quarter, jumping out to a 21-10 lead. Makinley
Knapp led the offense with eight points.
By halftime Lincoln held a 34-26 advantage, with Piper Whiteman able
to lead the charge with seven points.
Another big quarter in the third by the Lady Railers kept the Braves
scrambling. Mia Clark poured in seven points here to lead the way.
Lincoln was also able to capitalize on a couple steals late in the
quarter and go up 54-37.
Lincoln’s great defense held the Braves to just one basket in the
fourth quarter. Lincoln continued to spread the offense around in
the final quarter and walk away with a 66-39 win.
Mia Clark led Lincoln with 21 points.
Makinley Knapp tossed in 16 points.
Lincoln improved to 11-9 on the season.
In the JV game Mount Zion defeated Lincoln 48-37.
Grey Gilbert led Lincoln with 17 points.
Lincoln’s next game is Tuesday at Springfield High School. The JV
game will start at 5:30 p.m. and the Varsity will tip-off around
7:00 p.m.
