Berry Named Colleague of the Year for Lincoln Memorial Hospital

 

[January 24, 2025]  LINCOLN – Angela Berry, RN, with the Emergency Department at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s 2024 Colleague of the Year.

Berry appreciates the culture of teamwork at Memorial as well as positive feedback from patients.

“I absolutely could not do this job without my amazing coworkers, both in the ED and other departments within Memorial Health,” she said. “It is always rewarding when I have patients who are grateful for the care I provide and let me know I have made a difference in their life and health.”

Berry has been involved in many process changes in the Emergency Department to better serve patients. She strives to help colleagues understand and feel confident about those key processes.

“Angie is a dependable team player,” wrote her nominator. “She is kind, caring and always has a positive demeanor. She is a wonderful skilled nurse who is always coming up with ways to improve patient care for those we serve.”

Berry has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2022, and in April 2024, was named Colleague of the Month. She lives in Pekin with her husband and three children. One of her professional goals is to obtain her Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification.

The Colleague of the Year is selected from individuals previously named Colleague of the Month in 2024.
