Mt. Pulaski 2nd Friday on the
Square June 13: Lil-O-Rodeo

The Community Association of Mt
Pulaski, along with the City of Mt Pulaski and the Mt Pulaski
Economic Development Planning Board, invites you and your family and
friends to 2nd Friday on the Square in Mt Pulaski on Friday, June 13
from 6 pm until 9 pm (Jefferson St, Washington St and Cooke St).
This month’s theme is Lil-O-Rodeo.
The vendor market, including handmade crafts, antiques, direct
sales, food, and more, opens at 6 pm. In addition, local businesses,
including our restaurants and bars, will be open for business as
well.
June’s main attraction is Lil-O-Rodeo. For kids 9 years and under,
there will be a Cutest Lil’ Cowgirl/Cowboy contest, followed by a
rodeo for ages 6 years & under and 7 – 9 years, offering barrels,
poles, and bouncy buckin’ bulls. One lucky winner wins a REAL
buckle. Also tentatively on the schedule is a petting zoo,
touch-a-tractor, sit in the saddle, coloring pages, trick roping,
horse trailer/carts stagecoach display, duck pond game, rope a
steer, bean bag toss, photo spot, and meet rodeo queens and cowboys.
Sign up starts at 5:30 pm or preregister by texting Kelly Aylesworth
at (217) 737-4883 with child’s name, age and events they’d like to
enter. Also, if you are interested in volunteering to help with the
rodeo and provide a fun experience for the kids, please call Kelly
Aylesworth at (217) 737-4883.
Community Band will play in the
gazebo beginning at 6pm. Tyler White will perform on the main stage
on Washington St from 7 – 9 pm. You will find yard games for all
ages, including giant Connect 4, checkers, tic-tac-toe, and giant
Jenga at the Longview Community Bank tent.
In addition, Farm-FED Co-op will be holding their Grand Opening on
Friday, June 13 from 4 pm until 7 pm. There will be tours of the new
facility and locally sourced food prepared on site at 108 S
Washington St. Ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 6 pm.

The Lil-O-Rodeo is sponsored by Logan County Tourism Bureau and
Rise Broadband. Rodeo schedule of activities is subject to
change without notice. In the event of rain, no rain date will
be offered. A signed release is required and a properly fitted
helmet is recommended.
This is a family fun filled night with something for everyone.
