Lincoln offers kids a preview of healthcare careers

Lincoln, IL, – Middle school
students will have an opportunity to look inside the world of
healthcare careers with a free class at Heartland Community College
Lincoln.
Registration is now open for the Continuing Education Healthcare
Careers course for grades 6-8, which will be held on Wednesday, July
9, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Heartland Community College
Lincoln (2201 Woodlawn Rd, Lincoln, IL).
During this one-time class, participants will embark on a journey
into the world of healthcare careers with a Heartland Community
College Health Sciences instructor as their guide. Students will
learn about a typical day in the healthcare field by participating
in hands-on activities that will teach CPR and how to check blood
pressure. Participants will also learn how to become a hero at
spotting important signs in patient health and discover how
healthcare professionals make a difference in people’s lives every
day.

offered at no cost through a generous scholarship from the
Heartland Community College Foundation. Seats are limited, and
