Illinois FFA recognizes students in forty-eight
different areas based on their work-based learning, also known as
Supervised Agricultural Experiences or SAE. FFA members who
demonstrate outstanding agricultural skills and competencies through
record keeping, leadership, and scholastic achievement may be
considered for this award. SAEs allow students to learn by doing by
either owning and operating an agricultural business, working or
serving an internship at an agriculture-based business or conducting
an agriculture-based scientific experiment and reporting results.
Josh was selected as the District 3 Winner by a
committee of agriculture industry representatives and teachers
knowledgeable in this work-based area. Josh is the son of Meaghan
Gleason and Ron Adams from Lincoln, IL.
Receiving this honor now makes Josh eligible to compete in the State
FFA Awards Selection process in Mt. Zion, IL on Saturday, March 22,
2025. Josh was previously chosen as the Chapter and Section awardee
			in this area.

Josh has been involved in the following other agriculture education
and FFA activities: Involved in 4 years of high school agriculture
classes and various other events such as Ag Expo, Trunk or Treat,
Community Service Projects, State Convention, National Convention,
Leadership Training School, Greenhand Conference, Section and
Chapter Banquet, Vo-Ag Fair, Fall Grain Fair, Dairy Foods, Livestock
Judging, Meats Judging, Agronomy, and Horse Judging. Molly Schempp
is the agriculture teacher and joins Joan Dahmm as the FFA advisors
			at Lincoln Community High School.

Josh will receive plaques for their accomplishments. These plaques
are made possible by gifts by individuals, businesses, corporations
and organizations through the Illinois Foundation FFA.
