NORMAL, IL, Apr. 28, 2025 –
Heartland Community College employees and students dedicated a day
to community service on Friday, April 26.
During the Heartland Community College Annual Service Day, over 200
employees and students participated in 25 projects to better the
community. Project sites included the McLean County Nursing Home,
Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Hope on 5th in
Lincoln, the McLean County Humane Society, Pontiac Salvation Army,
and many others.
The annual Service Day is a testament to Heartland’s commitment to
making a difference in the community. By volunteering time and
resources, HCC hopes to inspire others to give back to the
community.
“Heartland Service Day is an opportunity to show that small acts of
kindness can have a significant impact on the community,” said
Heartland Associate Director, Community Engagement, Gena Glover.
For Service Day, Heartland employees are encouraged to volunteer for
these projects during their regular work hours.
