WLCN 96.3 FM to serve as
headquarters for 2025 Route 66 Garage Sale in the Logan County area

LOGAN COUNTY, ILL. – The 2025
Route 66 Garage Sale will take place June 13, 14 and 15 and WLCN
96.3 FM is helping out by handling the administrative details to
help make the event a success in and around Lincoln and Logan County
along the Route 66 corridor from Shirley to Williamsville.
The Logan County Tourism Bureau previously handled registration of
garage sales for the event, held annually on the second full weekend
of June. However, with uncertainty surrounding the future of the
bureau, WLCN offered to taking over tasks in helping put the event
together.
Information and registration forms are accessible by visiting the
WLCN web site. Updates and new information will be posted on the
Route 66 Garage Sale page on the WLCN web site (WLCNOnline.com), the
Facebook group for the event (search Facebook for Logan County Route
66 Garage Sale Days (2nd full weekend in June)) and on the radio
station’s Facebook page (fb.com/wlcnradio).
As in past years, registration for the garage sale is being done
online. Registration for garage sales is free, and those registering
will receive a smaller free Route 66 Garage Sale sign, placement on
the printed map as well as placement in the online interactive map
of sales. Garage sale hosts may also contact Lincoln Printers
(217-732-3121) to purchase a larger sign for $10 to use in
highlighting their garage sale.
In order to guarantee signage and inclusion on the maps for the
event, individuals must register their garage sale no later than
June 4.
For those who would like to have a garage sale but do not have a
suitable location, the Lincoln VFW is renting spaces for sellers and
vendors to operate on June 13 and 14. Spaces are available inside
the air-conditioned Lincoln VFW Hall at 915 Fifth Street as well as
outdoor spaces in Postville Park, located in the 1300 block of Fifth
Street.

For pricing and
information about renting a space at the VFW or Postville Park,
contact Michelle Ramlow at 217-480-0057. A flyer listing
sales/booths at the VFW and Postville Park will be created;
individuals setting up in these locations must sign up no later
than May 28 to guarantee inclusion on the flyer.
Vendors/sales taking place at the VFW and Postville Park
locations will be listed on the flyer created for those spaces;
single group listings for those locations will be included on
the printed and interactive online maps.
New this year, WLCN is offering food stands/food
trucks/restaurants/eateries operating the weekend of the garage
sale the opportunity to be placed on maps for the event.
Eateries can register online and pay a fee for placement on the
maps. Registration can be done by following the link on the
WLCNOnline.com home page. Eateries must register by June 4 in
order to guarantee inclusion on the maps for the event.
