with a Pro’ Series to Support Local Entrepreneurs

Connect with Professionals Over Coffee
[May 23, 2025]
LINCOLN, IL — Local
entrepreneurs and small business owners will have the opportunity to
gain valuable insights and mentorship this summer during LEAD’s new
“Cup O’ Joe with a Pro” event series, launching June 19 at Guest
House Coffee & Pastries in downtown Lincoln. Held on the third
Thursday of each month through August, these informal, one-hour
morning sessions will feature free coffee, casual conversation, and
direct access to local industry professionals.
Each session is designed to provide targeted advice in key areas of
business development:
• June 19: Woods & Bates – Legal professionals from the
respected local law firm will offer guidance on common legal
challenges for startups and small businesses, from contracts and
liability to intellectual property and local regulations.
• July 17: Double Oak – Branding experts will discuss how to
refine your business image, tell your story effectively, and stand
out in a crowded market.
• August 21: Prynt Digital – Specialists in social media and
marketing will cover best practices for digital engagement, content
strategy, and turning clicks into customers.
All events will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Guest
House Coffee & Pastries, located at 113 S. Kickapoo Street.
Attendees will enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries in a relaxed,
welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning and networking.
“This is a simple, supportive way for local entrepreneurs to get
practical answers to their questions from seasoned professionals,”
said LEAD Chief Executive Officer Andrea Runge. “We want to create
opportunities where people can show up, grab a cup of coffee, and
walk away with knowledge they can immediately apply to their
businesses.”
