[May 27, 2025]  On Tuesday, May 20th, the Logan County Board met for their monthly regular meeting. This meeting was held in the first floor courtroom of the Logan County Courthouse starting at 6:00 p.m. One of the items on the agenda was the appointment of Kevin Knauer to the vacant District 3 position left open after Julie Bobell resigned. There were many things on the agenda for this meeting, and for a rundown of those items, please read LDN’s other write up on this meeting.

Pulaski, Lake Fork, Chestnut, Latham, Beason, all those areas. I think I can represent not only them well, but the entire county.” When asked why he wanted to be on the county board, Knauer said, “I haven’t been involved in any public or community organizations for quite a while… I just wanted to get involved and help make decisions.” Lastly, when asked about any goals he is hoping to accomplish, Knauer said, “mainly working on economic development. I’d like to see us attract some new businesses to the county… I also have an interest in keeping our tourism fresh and promoting it.”
