Scam Alert
Logan County jury misinformation and attempt to defraud the public
[November 04, 2025]
The Logan County Circuit Court
and Sheriff’s Office have been made aware of several attempts to
contact Logan County citizens via phone calls and text messages
claiming the person had missed jury duty. The scammers then attempt
to use threats of intimidation and the threat of a warrant being
issued to compel persons to release personal information and credit
card information, including using Judge Jon Wright’s and Sheriff
Mark Landers’ names to legitimize the call.
DO NOT RELEASE SUCH INFORMATION.
The Logan County Jury Commission, Logan County Circuit Court or
Logan County Sheriff’s Office will not contact you to obtain
personal information, threaten to arrest you for failing to appear
for jury duty, or request personal information from you in regard to
jury duty via phone.
