Railers host Meridian on Kick
Cancer/Senior Night
[October 16, 2025]
The Lincoln Railers boys soccer team hosted Meridian on
Tuesday night for a special Kick Cancer Night that was combined with
Senior Night.
The Railers soccer team and their families and friends raised $5,160
for LCHS senior Lexy Boyer, who began her battle with a brain tumor
this summer. Boyer’s family was in attendance on her behalf at the
soccer game.
It was also FC recognition night for the youth soccer program.
A huge crowd was on hand to honor eight LCHS senior soccer players
and see the team get a 6-2 win over Meridian.
The Lincoln seniors recognized were: John Bivin, Riley Simpson, Zain
Hubrich, Carter Ferguson, Elijah Crawford, Eli Roemer, TJ Morris and
Ryan Gowin.
“It was a perfect way for the seniors to end their career at Handlin
Field,” said coach Tim Stuckey. “It was a dominating performance
where we got several different players involved in the box score.
Eli Roemer had a goal and four assists. TJ Morris had a goal, Elijah
Crawford had a hat trick and freshman Bradyn Allen had the other
goal. Zain Hubrich and Elijah also had one assist each.”
“These seniors are a special group,” Stuckey continued. “All eight
of them have played all four years, and although they’ve had a tough
senior campaign, it’s been a great time. They battle hard no matter
the opponent or the score and they are great teammates. We will miss
them all and we are proud of their accomplishments on the field and
in the classroom. I am confident that they will go on to bigger and
better things after high school.”
With the win on Senior Night the Varsity team will head into
regionals next week with a 6-18-1 record.
The JV team also won their game 2-1 over Meridian.
Congratulations to the seniors on a terrific career!
