Mount Pulaski played in the Morgan Lee Buerkett Memorial
Tournament hosted by St. Thomas More on Saturday in Champaign.
The Toppers went 2-3 in the tournament.
Mount Pulaski started the day with a loss to Hartsburg-Emden,
14-25 and 16-25.
Next up was a win over Monticello, 22-25, 25-22 and 15-11.
The Toppers then lost a three-set match with Cissna Park,
25-21,13-25 and 8-15.
The Toppers bounced back to defeat Athens 25-20 and 25-16.
The fifth match of the day was a tough loss against LeRoy, 22-25
and 25-27.
Olivia Smith was named to the all-tournament team for Mount
Pulaski.
