Kate Wright announces candidacy
for Logan County Clear and Recorder

The County Clerk and Recorder’s
office plays a vital role in our county government. We have been
fortunate to have those in that position who have taken on the
responsibilities of the office with respect, dedication, and tenacity
in service of the residents of Logan County. The current Logan
County Clerk and Recorder, Theresa Moore, will be retiring at the
end of her term in 2026. It is my honor to announce my candidacy for
Logan County Clerk and Recorder as a Republican candidate.
I was born in Lincoln and have lived my life as a resident of Logan
County.
After I earned my college degree, I began my tenure in the County
Clerk and Recorder’s office in 2019. Throughout my time, I have
learned many aspects of the office, but there are two that I would
like to emphasize. The first is that the office has a variety of
responsibilities and services offered to the citizens of our county.
These responsibilities include conducting elections, extending
taxes, clerking the county board regular meetings, maintaining vital
and land records, collecting delinquent taxes, accounts payable, and
much more. I have dealt with those responsibilities and, as a
result, can provide a seamless transition.
The second aspect I have learned is equally important to the first. I
have observed the unwavering dedication of the leadership that has
led the office. Through the past leadership of Senator Sally Turner,
and the current leadership of Theresa Moore, the office has known
true commitment. It has been my honor to work with Theresa Moore,
the current Logan County Clerk and Recorder. Her character shines
through in her role as a public servant. If I am given the privilege
to serve as Logan County’s Clerk and Recorder, I will do my best to
continue that dedication through my service. I will work to serve
those in this county to the best of my ability. My door will be open
and I will be available to help in any capacity that I am able.

I am happy to make this
announcement and, if given the opportunity, will commit to lead the
office in its responsibilities to the residents it serves. I humbly
ask for your vote at the General Primary Election on Tuesday, March
17, 2026.
