Stags finish on top in Tomahawk

The Hartsburg-Emden Stags defeated Greenview 25-19 and 25-18
on Monday night to win the 2025 Tomahawk Conference championship.
The Stags finished the season with a 7-0 conference record.
Another fun fact according to Coach Jennifer Hayes: The Stags senior
trio of Alayna Briggs, Celia Cross and Ellie Klokkenga have not lost
a single conference match in their entire four-year career.
Against the Bulldogs, it was junior Cambelle Hopkins leading the
team with 12 kills in the Varsity match.
The Varsity team improved to 29-5.
The Stags JV team also defeated Greenview. Their match went three
sets, 20-25, 25-21 and 15-6.
The Stags JV team improved to 7-7.
Hartsburg-Emden plays their last regular season game on Thursday
night at Mattoon. The JV game will start at 5:00 p.m. The Varsity
will start at 6:00 p.m.
