Lincoln Daily News prepares to paint the paper pink for breast cancer awareness

[August 30, 2025]  Every October Lincoln Daily News asks our communities to stand with us to support those warriors and their support teams who are fighting this terrible disease together. We are asking individuals, clubs, businesses, and organizations to help us “Paint the Paper PINK” with pictures and signs.

We remember those who have gone on before us and we fight for those who are, or will be, struggling.

Our goal is to increase our efforts to defeat this terrible disease by awareness, education and early detection and to come alongside our brothers and sisters. No one should stand alone.

Would you organize a photo op and send it to us? We will plaster them all over our front page every day in October free! If you want one of our staff to come and take the photo please call early for an appointment. We have already started taking pictures and reservations.

Slots fill quickly so call Karen 217-737-7418, Nila 217-737-3613 or Angela 309-830-3337.

Submit photos to: nsmith@lincolndailynews.com to be included, or stop by our office at 520 Broadway in Lincoln and we’ll take your photo there!
