The congregation of Zion
Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL, is proud to announce upcoming plans
celebrating the 50th anniversary of Zion Lutheran School. The school
is a ministry of the church. The Homecoming Weekend Celebration
begins Saturday, September 6th with the Annual ZLS Family Fall Fest.
A carnival is held from 4:30 – 6:30 pm in conjunction with a meal
served from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. A Cake Walk throughout the event is
interspersed with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. The
culmination and highlight at 6:30 pm is the Pie/Cake Auction.
Sunday, September 7th continues at the school with an outdoor
anniversary worship service at 10:30 am led by Rev. Mark Thompson.
Immediately following is a catered meal. Principal, Dr. Stephen
Parry, will preside over a program which includes Zion history,
former principals and teachers, and former alumni. The school will
be open for everyone to enjoy hundreds of pictures and memorabilia.
This weekend begins the many events planned throughout the 2025-26
school year. Another highlighted event will be their 50th Annual
Pancake and Sausage Breakfast to be held on February 7, 2026.

Zion Lutheran
School is a fully-accredited private elementary school offering
pre-school through 8th grade. The school provides a
Christ-centered education, focusing on academic excellence,
spiritual growth, and community involvement. The school offers
various extracurricular sports and clubs and has served the
Lincoln Community since 1975.
