LCHS Class of 1950 sends best
wishes to all those participating in the 2025 homecoming parade
[September 11, 2025]
Twenty-five years ago, the
Lincoln Community High School Class of 1950 celebrated its 50th
Class Reunion by participating in the LCHS Homecoming Parade. The
group of approximately 15 alumni rode on an antique fire truck
driven by classmate C. Wayne Schrader.
With 2025 marking the 75th year since graduating from LCHS, the
class had hoped to return to Lincoln and once again participate in
the annual parade. The vision had been for the 15 members to be
spread across a few old vehicles from 1950 or sometime close to it.
However, health issues and travel concerns caused the classmates to
reconsider, and they decided to forgo that landmark reunion. This
was somewhat of a disappointment to all of them because they had
been unable to celebrate their 70th reunion due to the Coronavirus
Pandemic.
However, LCHS alumni Donna Smith and the others from the class of
1950 want the community to know that they will be remembering their
good times at LCHS and the great time they had at their 50th. They
also wish everyone well and send wishes that the 2025 homecoming
parade will be a memorable event for all those who participate.
