Glenwood defeats Lady Railers 15-1

[April 02, 2026]  The Chatham Glenwood softball team is good. Very good.

The Titans are ranked no. 22 in the nation according to MaxPreps and on Wednesday afternoon they had a field day at Schweitzer Field in Lincoln, pounding out 13 hits and smacking five home runs versus the Lady Railers.

Lincoln avoided the shutout by scoring a run in the second inning. Addy Mahler had one of Lincoln’s two hits in the game when she hit a lead-off double in the inning and pinch runner Lily Holmes came around to score the Lady Railers lone run. The Titans briefly let their guard down in the inning by allowing two walks and a base runner to reach on a dropped third strike.

Glenwood was on the board in the first inning when Ava Bobb hit a solo home run to center on a 2-2 pitch with two outs.

In the top of the second inning Ryleigh Kiel had the big hit, a three-run home run to right field. Jemma Lamb also added an RBI single.

The top of the third inning was highlighted by another three-run home run. This time it was Gracyn Lewis doing the damage with a dinger to right.

The Titans increased the lead to 14-1 in the fourth inning with Sophia Feld hitting a two-run home run, and the Titans lineup tagging Railers pitching for two doubles and a single. There were also two walks in the inning and a hit by pitch.

Sophia Feld added a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning and after the Lady Railers were retired quickly in the bottom of the inning it was game over for Lincoln.

Norah Block took the loss for Lincoln. She worked four and two-thirds inning, allowing eleven hits and ten runs. She walked five and struck out one.

Laurynn Mayberry pitched one-third of an inning, giving up two hits and five runs. She walked three batters.

Sage Gilbert and Addy Mahler had Lincoln’s two hits.

Alyvia Streb earned the win for Glenwood. She struck out nine batters over five innings.

The Titans improve to 8-0.

Lincoln evens their record at 5-5.

The Lady Railers host Maroa-Forsyth on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
