Ink & Imprint Books celebrates its
second Indie Bookstore Day April 25
[April 22, 2026]
Ink & Imprint Books is happy to
announce our participation in the 13th Anniversary of Independent
Bookstore Day!
Ink & Imprint Books will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday,
April 25, and will offer cookies from The Buttery and giveaways
throughout the day. Indie Bookstore Day exclusive merchandise,
including signed books, will be available for purchase. Any
customers who spend $20 will get to spin the prize wheel at checkout
for additional discounts and giveaways.
Plus one lucky customer who finds the Libro Golden Ticket hidden in
the store will receive 12 free audiobooks. Kids can also decorate a
bookmark for a chance to win the bookmark design contest, with the
winning kids receiving an Ink & Imprint gift card.
Periodically throughout the day, local authors will be stopping by
the bookstore to meet customers and sign their books.
Ink & Imprint Books is also joining with four other Central Illinois
bookstores — Enchanted Books in Quincy, Illinois; Wildflower & Rose
Bookstore in Petersburg, Illinois; The Sly Fox in Virden, Illinois;
and Our Town Books in Jacksonville, Illinois; for a Central Illinois
Bookstore Crawl. Customers can pick up a bookstore crawl post card
at any participating location. If they visit those locations from
April 23 to 25 and spend at least $10 or tag themselves on social
media at the store, they can collect a stamp. The first 20 customers
at each store to collect their second stamp will receive a free
bookstore crawl tote. Customers who visit all five bookstores have
the chance to win a $100 gift card from their local bookstore.
“Indie Bookstore Day is one of the most exciting days of the year
not only for book lovers, but also for indie bookstore owners,” says
Julie Bates, owner of Ink & Imprint Books. “I can’t wait to welcome
our regular customers alongside brand-new visitors into the store
for such an exciting day that’s all about celebrating local
bookstores and the books we love.”

Independent
Bookstore Day (Indie Bookstore Day) was established in 2013 to
promote, celebrate, and highlight the value of the independent
bookstore community. The day has been observed on the last
Saturday of April every year since 2013. This year there are
over 1,600 stores participating across the country.
Independent Bookstore Day is organized by the American
Booksellers Association, a national not-for-profit trade
organization, that works with booksellers and industry partners
to ensure the success and profitability of independently owned
book retailers, and to assist in expanding the community of the
book.
