season with Door Buster Opener featuring Ed Cain Trucking Hornet

LINCOLN, IL – The wait is over as Lincoln Speedway roars back
to life on Friday, April 24 with the highly anticipated 2026 Door
Buster Season Opener, highlighted by the Ed Cain Trucking Hornet
Challenge, boasting a possible $1,000 payday for the DIRTcar
Hornets.
Opening night will feature a full slate of fan-favorite divisions,
including the DIRTcar Pro Late Models, Taco Bell DIRTcar Modifieds,
DIRTcar Sportsman, DIRTcar Hornets, and the always exciting MARA
Midgets, setting the stage for an action-packed evening at the Logan
County Fairgrounds.
The Ed Cain Trucking Hornet Challenge adds an extra layer of
excitement to the program, giving one of the region’s most
competitive and entertaining divisions the opportunity to race for
an increased purse to kick off the new season. With a strong field
expected, the Hornets will be one of the marquee attractions of the
night.
Fans can expect a fast-paced night of dirt track racing, as drivers
return to Lincoln Speedway eager to start their championship
campaigns on a high note. After a long offseason, anticipation is
high for both competitors and fans alike as the 2026 season
officially gets underway.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM, with grandstands
opening at 5:00 PM. The local pill draw will close at 5:50 PM,
followed by hot laps at 6:00 PM, and racing action set to begin at
7:00 PM.
Grandstand admission is affordably priced at $15 for adults, while
children 11 and under are admitted free, making it a perfect night
out for the entire family. Tickets and pit passes will be available
for purchase at the track on race day.
