Railsplitters beat Decatur MacArthur 6-1

[April 29, 2026]  The Lincoln Railsplitters beat Decatur MacArthur 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon behind another great outing by Kane Komnick at Mike Curry Field.
 
Komnick started the game and went six innings, allowing two hits and one run. He walked four and struck out six.   

 

Carson Fuiten worked a quick seventh inning, retiring three batters on nine pitches.

Karson Komnick, Grady Rutledge and Owen Comstock each had two hits for Lincoln.

Bryce Vlahovich and Austin Lucas each had one hit.

Vlahovich drove in two runs for the Railsplitters.

Lincoln scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Grady Rutledge hit an RBI single to drive in the first run of the game. Rutledge scored the second run on a wild pitch. Owen Comstock scored on a ground out and Vlahovich scored on an error.

The Generals scored their run in the top of the third inning on an RBI single.

Rutledge led off Lincoln’s fifth inning with a double and he scored on a single by Vlahovich. Comstock, who had reached base on an error, also scored to add to Lincoln’s lead.

With Rutledge and Fuiten shutting out the Generals the rest of the way, Lincoln walked away with the 6-1 win.

MacArthur committed five errors in the game.

Lincoln (13-7) will host Bloomington on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
