Lady Railers crush Decatur MacArthur 15-0

[April 29, 2026]  The Lady Railers beat Decatur MacArthur 15-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Decatur.

Laurynn Mayberry had a great day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Mayberry hit a three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning. The Gilbert sisters were on base when Mayberry crushed the home run to center.

Norah Block was the winning pitcher for Lincoln. Block threw four innings, allowing two hits and no runs. She struck out seven batters and walked zero.

Block, Grey Gilbert, Addy Mahler, Emma Hutchison, Preslee Sherren and Morgan Sheley also had hits in the game.

Lincoln took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Mahler.

By the end of the second inning Lincoln was up 6-0. Grey Gilbert and Emma Hutchison had RBI singles in the inning. Three walks and an error in the inning helped Lincoln’s offensive efforts.

In the third inning Lincoln plated two more runs. Mayberry’s RBI single was the highlight of the inning.

Lincoln put together a seven-run fourth inning that was highlighted by Mayberry again. This time it was her three-run homer that increased the score to 13-0. Lincoln would go on to score twice more, as the Generals went on to commit their ninth error in the game.

The Lady Railers improved their record to 13-12 on the season.

On Saturday the Lady Railers dropped a game 8-0 to Dunlap.

Lincoln will host Pekin today at 4:30 p.m. It is also Alumni Night for the Lady Railers softball program. A recognition ceremony will follow the Varsity game.

Just a heads up: Senior Night will be Monday, May 4th at Schweitzer Field.
