Lady Railers Fresh/Soph team finishes second in Morton Tournament

[August 31, 2026]  The Lady Railers Fresh/Soph volleyball team finished in second place in the Morton tournament on Saturday.
 
Lincoln defeated Olympia 25-12 and 25-14 and Normal West 26-24 and 25-13 in pool play to start the tournament.
 
Moving to bracket play Lincoln defeated Tri-Valley in three close sets, 20-25, 25-22 and 16-14.

The Lady Railers then took care of Normal Community in two close sets, 25-23 and 25-20.

Lincoln just came up short to Morton in the championship match.

The Lady Railers lost 24-26, 25-21 and 11-15 to Morton to earn a second place finish.

“It was a great day for us,” said Lincoln coach Dawn Crawford. “Lots of energy and lots of improvement was shown. We are now 6-1 on the season and we will play Tuesday at home versus Rochester at 5:00 p.m.”
