Bloomington
[February 06, 2026]
The Lincoln Lady Railers held on to win 36-30 over the
Bloomington Purple Raiders on Thursday night at Roy S. Anderson
Gymnasium. The Purple Raiders pulled to within five points with a
minute left in the game and had a couple opportunities to draw
closer but Lincoln survived in the end.
The Lady Railers were up 14-8 at the end of the first quarter. Mia
Clark drained two 3s in the opening quarter.
Paisley Holmes, Lily Holmes, Grace Bivin and Clark each scored a
bucket in the second quarter as the Lady Railers held a 23-14 lead
at the half.
All of Lincoln’s points in the third quarter came at the free throw
line. Grace Schneider, Lily Holmes and Bivin combined to go 5-for-6
from the line to keep Lincoln in front 28-18.

The Purple Raiders opened the fourth quarter with six straight
points. Lincoln finally scored at the 3:35 mark when Paisley Holmes
drove the lane and tossed a pass to Bivin for the bucket. A minute
later, Clark drove straight down the lane and took the ball to the
hoop herself. Forty seconds after that basket, Clark hit a much
needed three for Lincoln, stretching the lead to 35-24. The Purple
Raiders came back quickly with a three from Josie Skeate and some
twenty seconds later it was Tina Lenard draining her second three of
the quarter and the score was 35-30. Following a Lincoln turnover
the Purple Raiders had a chance to score but blew it twice. Bivin
pulled down a huge rebound to give Lincoln possession of the ball
with 18.6 seconds on the clock. Bloomington finally fouled Paisley
Holmes with 3.2 seconds left and the freshman made one shot to seal
the 36-30 win for Lincoln.
Mia Clark led Lincoln with 18 points.
Tina Lenard led Bloomington with 15 points.
