Lady Railers defeat Pekin 40-21 to end regular season

[February 13, 2026]  The 2025-26 regular season has come to an end for Lady Railer basketball.

Lincoln defeated the Pekin Dragons 40-21 on Thursday night in Pekin.

Mia Clark led Lincoln with 17 points.

Clark was hot right out of the huddle on Thursday night. She scored 14 points in the opening quarter thanks to four 3s and one two-point basket. With Grace Bivin and Lily Holmes each adding one bucket the Lady Railers were up 18-8 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter was a bit of a different story with Lincoln’s Sage Gilbert scoring the only bucket for the Lady Railers. Still the Lady Railers managed to keep a 20-13 lead going into halftime.

The Lady Railers put together a much more successful third quarter, outscoring the Dragons 14-7. Mesa McCloud led the team with four points and Mia Clark scored another three. Paisley Holmes, Grace Schneider and Sage Gilbert also added baskets to keep Lincoln on top 34-20.

Lincoln held Pekin to one point in the fourth quarter while Schneider and Bivin finished the scoring for the Lady Railers. The 40-21 win on the road was a great way to end the regular season and head into the regionals.

Lincoln finished the regular season with a 22-8 record.

The Lincoln JV team defeated Pekin 45-28.

Sage Gilbert led the team with 17 points and Emma Hutchison added 16 points.

The Lincoln JV team finished with a 21-1 record.

Lincoln will host the Class 3A regionals beginning on Saturday. The Lady Railers are scheduled to play on Tuesday night.
