Local civic group highlights community involvement in 2025

[January 05, 2026]  A local civic organization, the Logan County Democrats, is closing out 2025 by reflecting on a year focused on participation, service, and community connection.

The group experienced steady growth, with meeting attendance increasing, a mailing list of nearly 70 subscribers, and a private online community of more than 800 local residents. Organizers say these spaces have allowed for respectful discussion, information sharing, and civic involvement.

During the year, members attended local government meetings, welcomed guest speakers, and participated in statewide civic events. Fundraising efforts included partnerships with local businesses, an annual BBQ and Bake Sale, and several casual social gatherings that helped strengthen relationships among members.

The group also maintained a visible presence at community events, including the Logan County Fair and local parades. Beyond events and fundraising, members focused on direct service by launching a Micro Food Pantry and hosting a holiday Toy Giveaway that assisted dozens of local families.

Organizers say their efforts reflect a broader commitment to staying involved in local issues and contributing positively to the Logan County community moving forward.
