Mount Pulaski Lady Toppers defeat
Sangamon Valley 58-12 on Senior Night to remain undefeated

Seniors Alyson Murphy and Elayna Marten were honored before
the Varsity game versus Sangamon Valley on Thursday night and then
they guided the Lady Toppers to a 58-12 thumping of the Storm.
Murphy tossed in 18 points and Marten scored 11 points.
Junior Audrey Cooper also hit double-figures with 10 points.
Mount Pulaski took a 14-4 lead in the first quarter and by halftime
the girls were cruising with a 34-6 lead.
The Storm could not get anything going and the Mount Pulaski girls
just kept rolling with a 49-9 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Mackenzie Johnston, who has been a very consistent scorer for the
Mount Pulaski JV team all season, scored two 3s in the fourth
quarter.
For the Storm, Marlie Deerwester hit a three under the one minute
mark to put Sangamon Valley in double-digits in the fourth quarter.
Mount Pulaski improves to 22-0 with the 58-12 win.
On the JV side of things, Sangamon Valley won 26-16.

Mount Pulaski will return to action on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at
Decatur St. Teresa.
