Mount Pulaski defeats St. Teresa

Mount Pulaski hosted Decatur St. Teresa on Friday night and
with four players in double-figures, the Hilltoppers beat the
Bulldogs 63-47.
Reed Martin led the team with 21 points.
Austin Kretzinger poured in 16 points.
Aaron Volle scored 12 points and Franklin Wade tossed in 11 points.
Mount Pulaski was 20-for-24 from the free throw line.
The Hilltoppers took a 21-13 lead in the first quarter.
The Bulldogs made a run in the second quarter and by halftime the
Hilltoppers were holding a 29-26 advantage over St. Teresa.
Austin Kretzinger had 14 points in the first half and he was a
perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
The two teams played close in the third quarter with Mount Pulaski
remaining on top 39-36.
A huge fourth quarter, led by Martin’s eleven points, sent the
Hilltoppers to a 63-47 victory.
St. Teresa won the JV game 58-27. Kelten Olson led Mount Pulaski
with 15 points.
