announces 2026-2027 back-to-school dates

Lincoln Community High School
has announced important dates for the start of the 2026-2027 school
year. Freshman Kickoff, the first day of school for incoming
ninth-grade students, will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, with
a 2:00 p.m. dismissal. The first full day of school for all LCHS
students in grades 9 through 12 will be Monday, August 17, 2026,
with a regular 3:12 p.m. dismissal.
Registration: Online registration for the 2026-2027 school
year is open through Friday, July 31, 2026. Registration updates
student and emergency contact information and completes the required
forms for the upcoming school year. There are no registration fees.
Freshman Orientation: Incoming freshmen, new-to-district
students, and their parents or guardians are invited to attend
Freshman Orientation on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. in the LCHS
Auditorium. Students will receive their schedules and important
back-to-school information while learning more about life at LCHS.

Open House:
Lincoln Community High School will host an Open House on
Thursday, August 13, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. The building will
remain open until 4:00 p.m. Students and families are invited to
meet teachers and staff, locate classrooms and lockers, and
prepare for the first day of school.
"The beginning of a new school year is
always an exciting time for our students, staff, and families," said
Principal Dave Helm. "Whether students are entering LCHS for the
first time or returning for another year, we look forward to
welcoming them back and helping every Railer get off to a successful
