Lincoln Community High School presents musical comedy ‘The Addams Family’

[March 12, 2026]  Lincoln Community High School theater students have been hard at work this semester singing, dancing, building, memorizing, and practicing to put together the musical comedy The Addams Family. Their hard work will pay off this weekend with performances of the hit musical on stage at the high school auditorium.

The community is invited to enjoy The Addams Family, which is based on the classic television sitcom. The musical version is “a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.”

Co-director Shannon Radcliffe says, “This show has been so fun to be a part of. The Addams Family has always been about being who you really are and not being afraid to be different. It's also a true comedy, and we love leaning into it a bit. Thankfully all of our actors do as well. We have spent a lot of time in our rehearsals laughing.” Radcliffe continues, “We are so thankful to our crew who is led by a dedicated group of seniors. They have helped make many productions come to life, and we couldn't have done this show without them.”

The cast features Ryne Manuel as Gomez Addams, Cynthia Flener as Morticia Addams, Sophia Wilkerson as Uncle Fester, Marin Crombie as Wednesday Addams, Mackenzie Plummer as Grandma, Cameron Wilmert as Pugsley Addams, Grant Eales as Lurch, Zack Eckhardt as Mal Beineke, Emersyn Keith as Alice Beineke, Joshua Hellman as Lucas Beineke, Kenidie Evans as Thing, and Chloe McFadden as Cousin It. The Ancestors are played by Mady McEvers, Lily Logan, Elle Fults, Alyssa Lamb, Kaden Eales, Seraphim Ostrander, Hailee Rempe, and Sophia Bauer. Featured Dancers are Mckinlee Stoltzenburg and Hattie Roland.

The crew of The Addams Family includes Stage/Booth Managers Emery Kitterman, Maelee Cunningham, and Alaina Bauer and Tech/Stage crew Charlotte Judd, Rory Snyder, Jude Snyder, Arielle Rempe, Abby Newlun, Sal Tapper, Lillian Benshoff, Kaylyn Coers, Faye Babbs, and Kaelyn Cunningham. The pit orchestra is directed by Nigel Range and features Brooklyn Edwards on flute and saxophone, Boston Tomlinson on guitar, Eden Lowery on trumpet, Benson Zollinger on trombone, Jacob Wilson on percussion, Hannah Fedorchak on bass, Jonathan Popper, and Dinelle Frankland on piano.

The production team is staffed by directors Shannon Radcliffe and Melissa Cremeens, Accompanist Dinelle Frankland, Vocal Director Hannah Fedorchak, Choreographer Claire Conrady Stanfield, with set construction by Chuck McFadden, and programs and T-shirts by Jennifer Keith.

Radcliffe says of the cast, “This is a very passionate group of performers. They have put their heart and soul into every rehearsal, and they have been an absolute joy to work with.” She adds, “We will be sad to say goodbye to Mackenzie Plummer, Grandma Addams, our lone senior cast member. She has been a great role model for our younger performers to follow, and we wish her the best in all her future endeavors.” Co-director Melissa Cremeens stated, “The Addams Family is coming along great! The kids are talented, the songs are fun, the set looks amazing, and all is just about ready for show time! We can't wait for an audience to show off all the hard work that has been put into this production.”

The Addams Family runs March 12, 13, and 14 at 7 p.m. and March 15 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium at Lincoln Community High School. Tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for students (preK-12th grade) with a $1 cash discount. Tickets are available at the door and in advance through the QR code on the Lincoln Daily News ad. As a special treat, mustaches and swords will be available for purchase at the shows to get into the spirit of the performances.
