HartEm Stags win 8th grade regional championship

[March 13, 2026]  The Hartsburg-Emden Stags defeated Bloomington St. Mary’s 25-12 and 25-11 to win the IESA Class 1A 8th Grade regional championship on Thursday night at Blessed Sacrament in Morton.
 
Courtney Cecil led the Stags with 10 kills, 15 points and 3 digs.

Piper Leesman had 8 kills and 8 points for the Stags.

Addie Wetherell was awarded the Sportsmanship Award for the Stags.

The Stags (18-8) will host the sectional championship on Monday night at 6:00 p.m. versus Cornell.
