Lady Railers drop 2-1 game to Jacksonville

[March 25, 2026]  The Lincoln Lady Railers were beat in the bottom of the seventh inning at Jacksonville on Tuesday afternoon.
 
A walk and two errors in the seventh inning allowed Jacksonville to walk off with a 2-1 victory.   

 

Lincoln scored the first run of the game in the second inning on an error by Jacksonville. Preslee Sherren walked to lead off the inning and she advanced to second on Norah Block’s sacrifice bunt. Morgan Sheley also bunted, reaching on an error by the second baseman. Sherren scored on that error.

Jacksonville tied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on a home run by Chase Neice.

Lincoln and Jacksonville had five hits apiece in the game.

Grey Gilbert had three hits for Lincoln and she stole two bases.

Preslee Sherren and Kate Farnam each had one hit.
The Crimson committed three errors and Lincoln committed two errors.

Norah Block took the loss for Lincoln. She worked six and one-third innings, allowing just one unearned run. She struck out nine batters and walked two.

Kenzie Law was the winning pitcher for Jacksonville.

Lincoln (2-2) will host Springfield High today at 4:30 p.m.
