Mayberry’s no-hitter leads Lady Railers past Springfield 6-0

[March 26, 2026]  Lincoln’s Laurynn Mayberry tossed a no-hitter against the Springfield Senators on Wednesday afternoon at Schweitzer Field.

The Lady Railers won 6-0 as Mayberry worked seven innings and struck out seven batters. Mayberry allowed just three baserunners all afternoon. The first batter of the game reached base on an error. Mayberry issued two walks in the game. One in the second inning and one in the fifth inning. She threw 82 pitches and 55 were for strikes.

In addition to the solid defense behind her, Mayberry had just enough offense from her teammates and just enough mistakes from Springfield’s defense to secure the no-hitter. The Senators committed four errors in the field.

Lincoln had four hits in the game.

Addy Mahler and Emma Hutchison each slugged triples and Sage Gilbert and Grey Gilbert each had singles.

Lincoln scored their first run when Grey Gilbert and Sage Gilbert had back-to-back singles to start the bottom of the first inning. Grey Gilbert was able to advance bases on an error before scoring on her sister’s bunt single.

Addy Mahler tripled and scored on an error in the second inning. Kate Farnam scored a run in the inning after she reached base on a hit by pitch. Farnam stole second and third and scored on a wild pitch to give Lincoln a 3-0 lead.

Lily Holmes scored a run in the bottom of the fourth inning as a pinch runner for Mahler. Holmes stole second and third and scored on a passed ball.
