Dunlap blanks Railsplitters 9-0

[March 27, 2026]  The Lincoln Railsplitters were shut out by Dunlap on Thursday afternoon at Mike Curry Field. Lincoln managed just two hits in the 9-0 loss.
 
Austin Lucas had a double in the first inning and Karson Komnick had a single in the sixth inning for Lincoln.  

 

The Eagles had six hits off Lincoln pitching and took advantage of six errors by the Railsplitters, scoring multiple runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

Bryce Vlahovich took the loss for Lincoln. He threw four and two-thirds innings allowing three hits and six runs. None of the runs were earned. Vlahovich struck out three batters and walked three.

Tate Aue pitched an inning, giving up two hits and three earned runs. He walked one and struck out one.

Brett Hayes pitched to two batters in the sixth inning, giving up one hit and striking out one batter.

Two Dunlap pitchers combined for the two-hit shutout.

Brett Alkire started the game and earned the win. He pitched five innings, allowing one hit, one walk and striking out three.

Jake Weeks pitched one inning allowing one hit.

Lincoln (3-2) will host Eureka on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 a.m.
