The Lady Railers offense pounded out ten hits.
Grey Gilbert led the way going for 4-for-4 from the lead-off
spot. Gilbert also scored a run and drove in a run.
Sage Gilbert was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Laurynn Mayberry, Norah Block, Morgan Sheley and Emma Hutchison
each had one hit.
Lincoln scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning when
Emma Hutchison and Grey Gilbert got things going with singles.
Sage Gilbert brought them both home on a double to left for the
2-0 lead.
Grey Gilbert drove in Kate Farnam on a single in the bottom of
the sixth inning. Farnam had reached base on an error and moved
to second on a walk to Hutchison.
Block was terrific in the top of the seventh inning. She threw a
dozen pitches and recorded a ground out and two strikeouts,
securing the 3-0 win.
Block threw 100 pitches and 64 were for strikes. She faced 28
batters.
Lincoln is now 4-3 on the season.
The Lady Railers did fall to Williamsville 12-2 on Friday night.
Lincoln will host Morton today at 4:30 p.m.
